This is a real Carbon Fiber mousepad finished in a semi-stiff resin.  This is not a "carbon print" or vinyl sticker!. The semi-matte finish to allow you to use an optical mouse as well as a standard trackball type mouse. The underlying structure has a dense rubber material which has been designed to provide damping to remove any vibrations while keeping the mousepad in place on your desk.
