From a 2008 Porsche 997 GT3 RS, this sport seat comes from a car that was delivered from Porsche Germany directly to a professional racing team. The seat was immediately removed before the car was driven in order to replace with a one piece racing shell.  The chair has black leather with a silver stitching around the edges and side bolsters with a dark charcoal color Alcantara base and back center section. The shoulders have an extended support area and overall give a more sporty appearance (besides the extra support). The back and lower trim sections are dark silver metallic finish with polished handles and control pieces. Although the entire chair tilts back from the base, the rear seat back tilt can be set with the connection of the included wall power adapter. There is a small recessed hook at the top back of the seat for hanging a small bag from the back of the chair (perfect for hanging your car keys or a purse).  ,The base of the chair can be matched to any GT3 RS color, in the pictures here it's done in the official Porsche RS green.  The seat back can also be painted a matching color at the same time or left in the stock dark silver metallic.  Only two of these chairs are available and we do not expect to ever get another set in.

 

Each chair we build is unique, the metal base and frame are actually painted separately for each order with a professional automotive quality paint job in a deep, high gloss metallic paint.  Your price includes a custom color of your choice. 

 

Due to the unique collector status of the GT3 RS, we highly suggest a matching paint scheme.  Besides matching the entire base in Porsche's Orange or Green, we can do the core of the base in metallic silver with the wheel pieces and adjustment handles in Porsche Orange to match the car's factory paint scheme!.

 

We always have a few metallic silver and metallic black bases in stock for rush orders, for the custom paint it is a 3 week processing time.

The mechanics of the bases are a Synchro knee-tilter from Global's Ride collection.  They are a full metal base and frame with sculpted sport wheels.   The smooth synchronous tilting action maintains constant contact and support for your body in all postures.  There are sculpted shift levers at the side of the seat to control the synchro tilt mechanism and seat height.  The rotating pivot arms are height adjustable. 

 

Racechairs come from actual exotic sports cars and racecars.  We find late model race conversions and parts cars and acquire the seats from around the world.  Once we receive a new seat, it is disassembled, the leather is cleaned and conditioned, the unnecessary hardware is removed and a custom bracket is created to place the seat in the optimal position.

 

 

Because Leather has natural markings, and these seats do come from a pre-owned vehicle, some wear on the seat is to be expected.  We have implemented a rating system to mmore accurately describe each chairs condition.
